Shamanism has a long history around the world. Different cultures and geographical locations have their own histories and expressions of shamanistic and mediumistic practices. This video has footage from Kirant people’s shamanistic ritual practices in Ilam district of Eastern Nepal.
The lyrical content of the song 'Demons’ speaks about animal cruelty. They are written from an animal perspective in an effort to convey the horrors of industrial animal farming.
Writing process of the song departed from the usual. Band adopted more collective writing process for Demons and it came together organically. This song explores new territories within Defiant's discography.
