Rare shots of tornado formation
Rare shots of formation and strengthening of a tornado when it moves on the surface of water. Then follows the gradual extinction when leaving the land. An eyewitness took pictures of how a large cloud gradually takes the form of a vortex and moves towards the water. Then there is a sharp increase in the flow of air due to water intake. As you move overland, the source of energy (water) ends and the tornado subsides.
