First gilding experiment

This is my first foray into gilding with painting! I took a piece of aluminum dibond, put a layer of toned acrylic gesso on it, waited a couple of days, drew the pears on it in charcoal, applied 22k gold on the background, then painted the pears and also put some paint on the gold. This experiment made me very excited to try more gilding, and to try other types of metal leaf like silver.
