Display Negative Values In A Different Colour In A Chart - The Excel Hub
We apply conditional formatting to bars in a chart if cell values are negative. In our example, we have a company’s profit over time which we firstly want to visualise in chart format. Then we want to apply a red colour to the losing years and a green colour to the profitable years. We achieve this by using the invert colour if negative option. This makes it easier for the user to get a clearer idea of which years went well and which ones require closer attention.
