Saving History: WWII Aircraft Crash Site Recovery Work
Part 3 of recent European rally trip. The Garrett team was given the chance to help search two World War II aircraft crash sites: a German Me-109 fighter and a British-built Avro Lancaster bomber flown by a Canadian crew. Historians supervised our searches, and all artifacts were turned over. We felt honored to have taken part in recovering items from a site were young men gave their lives in service to their countries.
