We made a first step towards natural language programming. We believe programming should be even more open and accessible by all people.
Here one can type a simple prompt, like, "Draw a red circle that follows the mouse," and see it come alive as code written by OpenAI and P5.js.
There’s so much you can do with natural language programming and large language models, and it's not just about writing the same code faster.
What we’re working on next:
We want to build an open source way for sharing these sketches and allow for building all kinds of extensions and capabilities with the natural language tool itself.
We’re on a journey to allow programming of the real world beyond the screen. What if you could directly program the spaces around you: your walls, windows, floors and furniture? We’re building experiments to leverage multi-modal intent: speech, gesturing, pointing, drawing, referencing physical things, and then using projection to marry the behavior you create back into your environment.
We’re excited to learn what others have been thinking about with natural language programming and the types of things you would want to do with such a system.
