Balingen 200 Years Ago - The Great City Fire
In 2009, Balingen commemorated the great fire of 1809, which almost completely destroyed the town. The Balingen fire department demonstrated the course of the fire at night using Bengal lights. The Frommern folk dance group was asked to provide a supporting program. It was very important to Manfred Stingel to portray life in Balingen as it was 200 years ago.
