In SMT Nocturne Hardtype, the effects and benefits of stats are improved greatly compared to the original. Many new skills (both common and unique skills) have been added to bring more flavor to battles. Demon summoning mechanics have been modernized (only costing half a press turn and demons can swap themselves out with other demons). Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne Hardtype allows for more flexible builds and strategy compared to the original.
