How to use Wood Stains in your Turning. Beginner Woodturning Project
In this beginner-friendly woodturning tutorial, I’ll guide you through the process of staining and finishing a wood bowl to enhance your turnings! Watch as I transform a piece of ash wood on the Harvey T60s lathe using carbide tools from Easy Wood Tools. I’ll demonstrate how to apply a Midnight Blue stain from the Intrinsic range, followed by a layer of Electric Blue microcrystalline wax for a striking finish. To complete the look, I’ll finish the inside with Yorkshire Grit abrasive paste and Hampshire Sheen finishing wax, giving the bowl a beautiful, smooth, and glossy appearance. Whether you’re new to woodturning or looking to expand your skills, this video will provide the tips and techniques you need to elevate your projects!
