Having a switch on the battery may be great for safety, but it may encourage a user to turn off the battery before disconnecting the panels, which can break the charge controller. MAKE SURE to not switch off the battery while the panels are connected.
Larger loads make take too many amps for the charge controller to control in which case you will connect those to the battery (but after the fuse).
