Black Doom consults with Mephiles
This is another short concept video continuing the idea that Mephiles is behind the events of Generations (with Generations itself being an 06 sequel), and that the Time Eater is remnants of Solaris. This time—in light of Sonic x Shadow Generations—I had the idea of Mephiles (who is slowly being reborn through the Time Eater) being the reason for Doom’s return, and by extension the events of Shadow’s campaign. Having either inadvertently or purposefully resurrected Doom alongside the other locations in the midst of his messing with time.
Here I imagine the two of them working together, with Black Doom becoming a subordinate of sorts, and Mephiles being the one behind the scenes pulling the strings (while simultaneously intercepting Sonic and co himself through the Time Eater). Of course I imagine Mephiles—like how he treated Shadow in 06—would merely use and manipulate Black Doom for his own benefit before discarding him as well.
