X-4046 VCO test
I just finished building the Thomas Henry X-4046 VCO based on the CD4046 PLL Oscillator chip. It has a nice feature in that it can output a mixture between a Triangle wave and a Ramp wave with a potmeter to control the mixture between the two. I have the output running through the State Variable filter I built last week. It sounds very cool, very bass heavy.
It's not the best VCO when it comes to accurate tracking between the octaves but it's close enough to sound good.
