Part 7 | The Cyborg Death Incident
Heart-pounding, nail-biting matches, thrilling KO victories, and the roar of the crowd that threatens to burst the arena... Behind these intense challenges lies the sweat and effort of fighters pushing the physical limits to the absolute extreme. But what if new fighters emerged who had completely transcended these limits? Part 7, "The Cyborg Death Incident," heads to the cGFC arena, the arena of the future where cyborg fighters—whose bodies have been enhanced with machinery—compete.
It is the place where the roar of the crowd, ready to burst the octagon, can be heard. It is the arena of the cyborg fighting organization, cGFC. Ranked 5th, challenger Mac has stepped up against Champion Ewan, who is making history in cyborg fighting with his 10th title defense. Ewan, an icon of human triumph who rose to the position of cyborg champion after replacing his limbs with mechanical ones following a major accident while active as a regular fighter. On the other hand, the challenger, Mac, is known as the "bad boy" of the cGFC, notorious for his unsportsmanlike conduct. Fans predict an early KO victory for Ewan in this match that resembles a clash between a hero and a villain, but the fight drags on into a long, close battle spanning eight rounds. Mac refuses to give up until the very end, fighting until he collapses. Ewan secures a hard-fought KO victory. He celebrates his win with a scream. However, the glory is short-lived; news arrives that the challenger, Mac, who was rushed to the hospital unconscious, has died. Mac's death seems suspicious. His colleague secretly entrusts the case to an investigator. Mac had reportedly asked his colleague before the match to report it if anything happened to him. The investigator discovers evidence that the safety devices worn by everyone during the match failed to activate... How did Mac foresee his own death? Is there a conspiracy hidden within the world of cyborg fighting, where fair and honorable battles are supposed to take place? We track down the dark shadows hidden behind this fierce showdown.

While this may feel like a fantasy of the distant future, cyborg technology is actually close to a reality already being realized. People who have received artificial joints and organs. People are already living with parts of their bodies replaced by machines. In a future where cyborg technology advances further, could most physical disabilities be overcome? Or perhaps a future will come where the body is treated carelessly, like a mere component. In an era where assisting and reinforcing the body with the help of technology becomes the norm, the strong might become stronger and the weak might become weaker. This is a future that will soon take root in our lives.
