NFT “Pre-Columbian Pop Art”, Alex Granados
Alexander Granados is a Mexican Creative Director and illustrator of Colombian origin. He studied advertising at Jorge Tadeo Lozano University in Bogotá (Colombia) and Advertising Art Direction at the Miami Ad School in Miami. He has worked in agencies in NY, Amsterdam, Mexico and Colombia, among other countries. He was a creativity teacher at Digital Invaders, a prestigious creative school located in Saltillo, Mexico. As a creative, he has participated in campaigns that have won awards such as the Creative Circle (Mex), El Dorado (Col), El Ojo de Iberoamérica (Latam), FWA (UK) and One Show (NY), among others. A little saturated with projects that did not fulfill him professionally, he began to study a master's degree in UX in Elisava University (Barcelona) and at the same time began to upload illustrations of a more personal nature. His visual style calls it “Pre-Columbian Pop Art”, since it combines stories of today but inspired by the textures, myths and colors of pre-Hispanic art from Latin America.
The purpose of it is to make known stories and symbols of the pre-Hispanic worldview that until now are not well known in the international world. The pandemic and the Clubhouse boom led him to learn about NFTs and Cryptoart. Currently his NFTs content is on Opensea, Hic et Nunc and soon on Foundation.

Alex's Mom's art Mery Puyo (Inglés)
From a very young age I discovered that I liked to paint with strong and vivid colors. Over time, due to my husband's studies in Monterrey, Mexico, I did some courses with a Spanish art teacher and I loved it because she handled textures. Later in Tabasco (Mexico) I continued to paint some relief paintings like the one I painted with sand from Acapulco. A bit geometric but it was sand from the thickest to the thinnest and it was a beautiful colorful painting with different textures. I dedicated myself to painting with fabric paints, I designed t-shirts with patterns. It was successful in its time. When we moved to Cali, Colombia, I did two semesters of art history at the Javeriana University. And so I have always been linked to painting until I dedicated myself to painting oil on canvas technique, which is what I have always been passionate about. Thanks to this I began to exhibit my paintings in local restaurants, small art galleries in the city. With these exhibitions, I began to sell to local clients and Colombians who lived in other cities around the world. Then they opened the doors for me to exhibit in South Beach galleries in Miami and in South Florida.
And that led me to sell paintings to different cities in the United States, especially in the Latino community. Because of this they gave me the first interviews in the Miami New Herald.
My style is inspired by Nature with bright colors that identify my character, my cheerful temperament and the Colombian topography represented in the mountains, the flowers, the flowers, the Amazonian fauna and the joy of the inhabitants of this country. Thanks to the blockchain world and with the help of my son, my paintings are taking on a second life, with new animations and formats that give a new freshness to my paintings. I am currently a breast cancer fighter, and this revolution gives me a lot of energy to move forward and for the world to know my struggle and my art through my paintings. And thus inspire more mothers and more children to collaborate together.
