Need a Fidget Toy? Crochet Avocado with Removable Seed Tutorial
Need a fidget toy or a cute crocheted avocado? This tutorial covers both! The seed is removable and velcro can be attached.
This intermediate-level pattern combines the magic ring with chains to create the avocado shape.
Materials:
Size 4 yarn in shell, flesh, and seed colors
4.25 mm or corresponding crochet hook
10 mm safety eyes and washers
Black & pink embroidery floss or scrap yarn
Fiberfill stuffing
Yarn needle
Scissors
Optional: velcro
Abbreviations:
Stitch (st)
Chain (ch)
Single crochet (sc)
Increase (inc = 2 sc in same st)
Decrease (dec = join 2 st into 1 sc)
Front loop only (FLO)
Back loop only (BLO)
Yarn over (YO)
Notes:
You can use a different sized yarn, but the result will be different
dc 4 means dc in the next 4 stitches
[number] means the number of stitches you should have
{stitches to do}* means something is to be repeated
Use a stitch marker to mark the first stitch of each round (except for one part in the flesh which is worked in rows)
