✅ Bucket List #4: Connect with my Scottish roots!
My grandma would made a family lineage book and would love to talk about our European roots. Specifically, she would always say we were part Scottish and before we were the "Whites" we were the "Scotts"! I've never been to Scotland (nor much of the world when I think about it haha), so since I was in the UK, I decided to fly to Edinburgh (the capital of Scotland) and get in touch with my ancestry!
So I embarked on the greatest Scottish challenge: (1) finding the best haggis in Edinburgh, (2) getting a drink at the oldest pub in Scotland (it opened in 1306!) and (3) take the haggis and the drink up to Arthur's Seat (an ancient volcano and one of the most famous sights in Scotland)! Yes, it's all a bit tourist and cliche for an American to get in touch with their European ancestry, but hey, it was fun!
And I'm really trying to do something unique with these bucket list videos. Each of these challenges could be on someone's bucket list, but I decided why not challenge myself to do all of them before the sunsets, to get a whirlwind tour of Edinburgh and Scotland!
