I Survived Europe’s Craziest Oceanside Climb
✅ Bucket List #2: Rock climb over the Mediterranean Sea!
So I heard of this thing called a Via Ferrata, it's essentially a crazy rock climbing route. There are lots of via ferratas all over the world, but there is only one in Europe that goes across cliffs where you are dangling over the ocean! So yeah, I thought, why not try it?
You might be wondering. Jon, have you ever done a via ferrata before? Nope. Did you even know what a via ferrata was a week ago? Nope. Well, have you at least rocked climbed a lot? Nope. But that's the whole point of my bucket list, to go on wild, exciting new adventures that push me to explore myself, my passions, to feel healthy, and to feel alive!
And it wasn't what I expected. It took 3 hours, I was sweaty and exhausted by the end, I walked on tight ropes, and I was hanging off cliffs above crashing waves and the ocean. Was it beautiful? Yes. Was it terrifying? Very yes.
Oh, and this one was called via ferrata cala del molí in Spain. So, let's do this! It's time to try Europe's craziest, wildest, most insane oceanside rock climb adventure!
