Happy Valborg from a sacred grove in Norway

This place is now called Tysnes, because of the holy place of worship at the equinoxes and winter/summer solstices, and the sacred grove next to it. The name means the law of Njörðr, the Vanir God. And Tysnes has its name from the valorous Æsir God Týr, just like where we've got Tuesday from.
Valborg's Eve (April 30th) is not in memory of the Christian feast day of Saint Walpurga, a more recent Frankish tradition, but it's the night of the witches in ancient folklore. In fact, this is when witches are flying on their brooms all over, and especially to Blocksberg (Brocken) in present day Germany, made popular in Goethe's Faust. I've been to Brocken and it's also a very special place. As a fun fact, that's where you find so many -leben villages (with names ending in -leben), which have been attributed to the Germanic tribe Harudes, mentioned by Julius Cæsar. They are believed to be the same Hǫrðar people who settled in Hordaland and have given many place names in the same area as this video, such as Hordnes (just north of here) and Hordvik.
In Sweden they say Glada Vappen on this evening and I know Northerners who lit up big fires tonight to get rid of "oknytt och troll", meaning unearthly creatures:)
