The Walking Dead Season 9: A Bittersweet... Beginning?

I’ve openly admitted a few times that yes, even I was once someone who stopped watching The Walking Dead at one point. But even during the time that I stopped watching, one thing remained constant: and that’s my undying love for Rick Grimes. So when Andrew Lincoln announced that he would be leaving during Season 9 of the show, I had to come back and at least see how Officer Friendly went out. And AMC made sure to let everyone know that these were the FINAL episodes of Rick Grimes. All of season 9 was marketed towards that premise, even though he’s only in 5 episodes of the season, his face is still front and center on all the posters, because I think even AMC kinda thought that once Rick is gone, the show and fanbase was probably gonna go with him. And by all means, that’s exactly what should’ve happened.
