Tired of repetitive tiling issues with PBR textures in Blender? In this amazing tutorial, we’ll show you how to reduce tiling using the Mix Color Node. It's quick, easy, and adds variety to your textures—no more boring patterns!

Using the Mix Color Node
Start by creating a new material and applying the Mix Color Node to blend Colour A and Colour B. Adjust the Factor to balance between the two colours. Now, let’s make things interesting: replace the Factor input with a Noise Texture to introduce variation.

Apply the Technique to PBR Textures
To prevent tiling, change the Mix Color Node to mix two diffuse image textures. Add a Color Ramp between the Noise Texture and Mix node to sharpen transitions between textures. This helps break up repetitive patterns and makes your material more dynamic.

Go Full PBR – Mix Multiple Textures
With the Node Wrangler add-on, use CTRL+T to bring in Mapping and Texture Coordinates nodes. Align your textures for better control over scale and position. Duplicate the setup to mix roughness, normal, and displacement maps for a full PBR material. Adjust the displacement settings in the material tab for best results, and ensure there’s enough geometry for displacement.

Wrap-Up
By following these steps, you’ll create a detailed, tile-free PBR material. Want to push it further? Try using a painted image texture instead of noise for even more control (a topic for another tutorial).
