Meet Nimbuzz 2000, the 2021 SAE Aero Design Advanced Class WORLD CHAMPION!!!
Nimbuzz 2000, Georgia Tech's entry to the 2021 SAE Aero Design micro class competition, took home the overall championship in addition to first place for the design report, presentation, and mission performance. The objective for advanced class was a "mars colonization" mission. The aircraft had to drop water, habitats (nerf AeroHowlers), and colonists (ping pong balls) into a 50' target. The colonists were to be delivered on colonist delivery aircraft (CDA) that had to autonomously land inside the target zone. Flight score was determined by both the quantity and balance of each payload delivered.
