Gamma Zeta Lambda Ch. of Alpha Phi Alpha & GZL Educational Foundation Black & Gold Scholarship Ball
The annual Black & Gold Scholarship Ball was held on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at The Venetian Event Center in Tampa, FL. Hosted by the GZL Educational Foundation and the Gamma Zeta Lamda (GZL) chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., this fundraising event supports the Men of Tomorrow (MOT) Program. This year’s theme, “Legacy: Making an Impact that Matters,” was evident throughout the event. The Ball had a record number of sponsors and sponsorship dollars.
This year’s Ball featured eight graduating MOT participants, whose grade point averages range from 3.0 to 4.7. Each senior received a new laptop. For the first time, $71,765 in scholarship dollars was raised and MOT seniors were awarded one and two-year college scholarships they will receive upon meeting final senior requirements.
