Costa Concordia - Second "Titanic"
A contract for the construction of a 290-meter-long vessel for 3,700 passengers and a crew of 1,100 for Costa Crociere was signed with the Italian shipyard Fincantieri on January 19, 2002. On September 2, 2005, a vessel under serial number 6122 for 450 million euros [5] was launched. The vessel was completed at the completion wall and handed over to the owner on June 30, 2006. The ship’s baptism ceremony was held on July 7, 2006. The godmother of Costa Concordia was the Czech supermodel Eva Herzigova [6] [7], who, when baptized, was unable to break a bottle of champagne, which is a bad omen [8] [9].
