Here's a recording of a replay I did where I beat Stone Bell, arguably the hardest mission in the whole game on Elite difficulty. I also modded the game, however, the only weapons that actually get any kills are weapons already included in the vanilla game, so this strategy will work for everyone.

The main crux this strategy is to fire a rocket where I indicate, so enemies walk up the hill and gather around where you fired the rocket rather than moving down the canyon to the NATO guys.

Squad Setup:

Alpha: One rifleman with an M16/M203 Grenade Launcher. Second guy is optional.

Bravo: One rifleman with an M16/M203 Grenade Launcher. One guy with a sniper (so you can look for enemy positions at the end). Third guy is optional.

Charlie: One demolition with an AT rocket.

Timestamps:

00:00 Send Bravo up the side of the map to get into position for the Southern Patrol. Make sure to move them along the side of the map so they aren't spotted by anyone. Send Charlie up the side along the north of the map to the part close to the hill where the tanks are. I show the exact path they should take with my mouse.

00:16 In control of Alpha, run up the hill try to take out the Northeast Patrol. For the first squad, a grenade will take out a couple of them quickly if they're bunched up together. The second squad will usually run out in the commotion so try to take them out quickly. Occasionally, the last guy of that squad will run away to some further distance cover so be careful. MAKE SURE YOUR GRENADE LAUNCHER IS RELOADED.

01:22 Immediately switch to Bravo to take out the Southern Patrol. It's best to take out the first squad with accurate fire from the M16 because the grenade explosion is much louder and will cause the second squad to immediately open fire rather than try to investigate what is going on like in the video. And if they do so, they're fairly easy to take out with a grenade. If you aren't as lucky as I am in the video, switch over to your rifle to pick off any survivors. MAKE SURE YOUR GRENADE LAUNCHER IS RELOADED.

01:42 Move Bravo where I point to with my mouse. Do the same with Alpha as well. With your team set up this way, Bravo will be right where one group of 3 spawn, allowing you to quickly take them out with a grenade. Alpha will be set up around a corner where the other group of 3 spawn, giving you more time to move Charlie out to better safety before taking them out with a grenade too.

01:54 Move Charlie behind that rock. If you took out the two patrols quickly enough, you should be there right when the tanks are moving across. I recommend you make a hard save here just in case. From there, you can actually take out the tank right from that hill. However, if you're too slow, that's okay as you just need to fire a rocket from that hill in order to aggro the enemies. I deliberately waited for the tanks to move away to simulate a worst case where you miss the tanks.

02:46 MAKE SURE you kill at least one guy before switching, as the reinforcements won't spawn otherwise. I miss a rocket here, but I was able to reload and fire another shot.

02:59 Now you have to switch between all three squads extremely quickly. Once at least one of those guys are killed, immediately switch to Bravo and swap to your M203. Use that to take out the three enemies that spawn in right there.

03:02 Immediately switch back to Charlie to run backwards to better cover, both to get closer to where you'll eventually take out the tanks and away from any enemies rushing up that hill.

03:13 Immediately switch to Alpha as the next 3 guys should be coming right around the corner when you do.

03:16 Immediately switch back to Charlie to take out the two tanks. The tanks are equipped with machine guns, so be careful. Once the two tanks are dead, Charlie's role in the mission is done. Run exactly to where I go so Charlie can be safe from any enemies.

03:52 Since I fired a rocket near the bridge, enemies will start pooling around that area as well. Move Alpha where I go. At this point, the hard part is over.

04:09 This is where the sniper comes in handy. He's not actually gonna shoot anything, he's just gonna look at the enemies and gather their location so Alpha can know where the enemies are. Make sure to run along the edge of the map so you don't get discovered. Doing this is optional.

05:15 Finally, once you know where the enemies are and there aren't any stragglers, switch to Alpha and use your M203. I also recommend saving here, just in case you get picked off rounding a corner. Here, a lot of enemies gathered around the rock where the initial rocket was fired, so I leaned around a corner to take them out. Be careful as you're moving around as there are often enemies all around this stretch of land I'm moving in. However, in this case, the only two places where enemies gathered were near the rock and then near the bridge, allowing me to take out both groups of enemies with a single well placed grenade.
