If you have a lot of documents scanned and saved in graphic formats (such as jpeg, tiff, pdf and others) and need full text search through these docs, then ABBYY Recogntion Server with iFilter add-on is definitely for you.
After being installed and configured iFilter finds jpeg, tiff, pdf and other graphic files on your computer and sends them to ABBYY Recognition Server for further recognition. Recognition Server returns text for each document and when you launch windows search it finds documents with needed text even if they are in jpegs, tiffs, pdfs or other formats!
