Pesticide sprayer, components and littering
Today, we're looking at an interesting and demanding machine: the crop protection sprayer. To operate one, you first need to obtain a certificate that confirms your expertise. Additionally, you have to complete refresher training every few years. So, two hours a year, and you're all set ;-) Now, a brief look at integrated pest management, which doesn't start with the sprayer, but much earlier. Important points include: - Preventive protection of crops (indirect measures such as crop rotation, tillage, etc.) - Monitoring of crop stands - Deciding whether and when to apply pesticides (determining need through thresholds) - Prioritizing non-chemical methods (direct measures) - Selection of pesticides - Limiting pesticide use to the necessary level - Resistance management - Monitoring success.
