Wii U & 3DS Nintendo Network Shutting Down
Nintendo have announced the end of online services for the Wii U and 3DS which will be shut down in April of 2024 next year. Games like the original Splatoon, Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros 4, Monster Hunter 3 etc. will no longer be playable with other people online. I'm disappointed that I won't get to play Splatoon 1 next year because I am really into that at the moment and wish it could last a bit longer. It makes sense that Nintendo do this though as it has been 10 years since the consoles came out and so they won't want the cost of running the servers for a very small amount of people. Also people are rumouring that this means a new Nintendo console is on the way. there is always talk of this for the past few years so I will believe it when I see it lol.
