5 kilometres was a huge distance for me. In Fact, when I just got started, I thought I was running 5k's but could only manage 3 🤷
After training for my first marathon, I built up more strength and bravery to take on longer distances. So when we, as a family, went on a vacation in the South Coast of Durban, I thought to myself, "I wonder if there's a place to run there?".
So I decided to look. The beauty of running is that it's just you and the road, dirt road, or mountain. This is me, taking on the road and running through what is one of the most beautiful scenic places I've ever run.
Join me for the next 16 minutes as I run from Bazley Beach to Ifafa Beach on Durban's South Coast, taking in some of the most amazing views and playing some relaxing music for you to enjoy. Just a light 15km that will challenge the novice runner and delight everyone with its beauty
If you're interested in the actual route I ran, then I have a GPX file and more route analysis on my website at https://richardtalks.co/macnicol
