59th MDW: New Jersey COVID-19 Vaccine Deployment
The 59th Medical Wing deployed over 150 personnel in March 2021 to Newark, New Jersey to support the Federal Emergency Management Agency in vaccinating the population against COVID-19. Together the team set-up the New Jersey Institute of Technology Community Vaccination Center and within about three months they administered more than 200,000 vaccines.
