Vehicle bracket design with HandySCAN Black Elite and VXmodel
Using scan data to create a one-off component that fits existing geometry is easy when using Creaform's HandySCAN Black Elite and reverse engineering software VXmodel. In this video, we scan a custom car engine bay to create an intake manifold bracket utilizing existing mount points.
By extracting the existing geometry in VXmodel then transferring into Inventor, the design process can be completed in a familiar CAD package then transferred back into VXmodel for interference checks.
