WIP - CUBRICON - Brooklyn (107.25 BPM Electronic Funk House )
Hey everybody, feedback is welcome! I'm especially curious to hear how the balance between the kick and bass sounds on your system.
Do I need more Kick? Do I need mor Bass instrument?
I started working on this track around 2011 in Propellerhead Record. I've migrated it over to Reason 10.
Here's some production notes:
• I used Neptune in voice synth mode to "play" my voice saying "Brooklyn" and then I repeated the "yn" part as a loop to provide a constant audio source for neptune.
• I used a modified Reason Bass "49. Bootsy's Luv Wah [Jazz Bass]for that slap.
• I'm using KIKBAK'S RAW MPC @+4dBv vol.2 for some of my sounds
• I'm using ReGrove Shuffle of 60% on most tracks and 62% on others
• I'm reducing the amount of reverb and bass, compared to the old version.
• The track is at 107.25 BPM... not sure why I did that!
