Today's video will show you How SpaceX's Junk Collector Works. Elon Musk, the creator and CEO of SpaceX, has long dreamed of colonizing Mars and has stated that a starship will likely be the private company's primary vehicle for future space travel. Space debris is becoming a growing source of concern, with the collision of two massive space debris objects posing the most extensive damage to the environment.

According to Gwynne Shotwell, president and COO of SpaceX, the company's Starship rocket system might assist in clearing out garbage that has been left in Earth's orbit.

It's plausible that the Starship could be used to go to some of these dead rocket bodies - other people's rockets, of course – and collect up some of this space garbage. It won't be simple, but Starship gives you the option of going ahead and doing it. SpaceX has previously launched almost 900 Starlink satellites into orbit, albeit not all of them are operational.

Today, there are expected to be roughly 760,000 objects larger than a centimeter in orbit. Dead satellites and rocket bodies are cluttering the space environment. According to Shotwell, SpaceX, which Elon Musk created in 2002, believes that their Starship rocket might assist clean away space junk left in Earth's orbit. The rocket can take up to 100 passengers and transport large payloads.
