• How can you see what objects are on what layer?
• Do you wish there was a command that could show you what was on a certain layer?
Well you’re in luck, there is, chances are you have seen this button and just passed it by.
LAYERWALK
• Displays objects on selected layers and hides objects on all other layers.
• The LayerWalk command displays a dialog box with a list of all layers in the drawing. For drawings with a large number of layers, you can filter the list of layers that are displayed in the dialog box.
• Filter List - Filters the layer list. Enter a wild card and press Enter to display and highlight only those layers whose names match the wild-card expression. Right-click to save and delete filters. The filter list displays saved filters only.
• Purge - When selected layers do not have objects on them you can purge them from the drawing. For a list of layers that can be purged, right-click anywhere in the Layer list and click Select Unreferenced. In the Layer list, the unreferenced layers are highlighted. You can purge those layers.
• Restore on Exit - Returns layers to their previous state when you exit the dialog box. If the check box is cleared, any changes you made are saved.
• Wishlist: Allow for Zooming, allow Filter lists from Layer Filters
