Sketching a Conceptual Landscape Design (Speed Drawing)
Drawing a conceptual landscape design as an exercise. For this drawing I wanted to flesh out an urban outdoor space with a winding, non-linear staircase surrounded by lush plantings. This space could be dotted with seating or small terraced patio areas to provide spaces sheltered from the summer sun. In theory these plantings would mimic local ecosystems using native plantings to act as a pre-filter for storm water.
