🔍 Part 45: Saving your pattern as an SVG pattern
To save your pattern as an SVG pattern, simply click on 'File' and choose 'Save As.' Give your pattern a name and then click on the format dropdown list. Make sure to select SVG, but do not choose the compressed SVG option, and then click 'Save.' In the SVG options, go to subsetting and change it to 'All Glyphs.' You should also change the image location to 'Embed' and make sure to tick the 'Include XM' box. Finally, click 'OK.'
Patterns saved in SVG format can be read in any SVG editing software application, such as Adobe Inkscape, Coral Draw, and even Google. Try dragging your SVG pattern into your web browser to see how it looks. SVG is a truly universal format and is possibly the best format for selling digital patterns online.
