Plum jam is perfect for making various pastries. It works very well with grated pie, as well as fancy pies.
You need 1.5 kg of sugar for 2 kg of plums.
Wash the plums and remove the pits. You can leave the bones, but then you will need to strain the jam.
Plums gel very well, so you don't need much sugar. Pour sugar into a container with plums and put on a very slow fire. When there is enough liquid, mix the sugar with the plums and increase the temperature. The jam should boil. On medium or low heat, cook the jam for about 3 - 4 hours. Remove foam periodically. The foam must be removed carefully so that in the end you get a clean and beautiful jam.
Cool the jam and store it in a clean, dry container in a dark, cool place. You can preserve jam by closing them with lids, after sterilizing the jars.
Enjoy your meal.
