Flipping Samples | volume III | Royce Da 5'9'' Ft. J Cole - Sampled Beat (808-Ray Cool & Dre)
Here we go again guys! This video is part III of a segment called "Flipping Samples". In this segment I take a popular sample or even just another sample that has been used by a producer and build an entirely different track. The sample in this video is from a track titled "A Day in the Park" by Michael Urbaniak ft. Urszula Dudziak (1978). The sample was used in the song"Boblo Boat" by Royce Da 5'9" Ft. J Cole, produced by 808-Ray Cool & Dre. I wanted to go ahead and see how I could flip the sample differently. I took a bunch of samples this time, unsure of which direction I would go. Using audacity I recorded the audio off YouTube directly onto my Mac where I then brought the sample into Fission to finish chopping and trimming the sample. After that I brought the beat in to the akai mpc software and got to work. This was a fairly simple and easy beat to structure. Nothing too complicated here, the beat is not fully mixed and tracked out. This is just something to give to you guys to watch and hopefully it will be enjoyable content.
