Flipping Samples | volume II | XXXTENTACION - Sampled Beat (Potsu)
Here we go again guys! This video is part of a new segment called "Flipping Samples". In this segment I take a popular sample or even just another sample that has been used by a producer and build an entirely different track. The sample in this video is from an anime track titled, "I'm Closing My Eyes" produced by Potsu. The sample was used in the song "Jocelyn Flores" by XXXTENTACION. I wanted to go ahead and see how I could flip the sample differently. I took the first 4-8 bars of the song, the part without the drums, and used that as my sample to structure the beat. Using audacity I recorded the audio off YouTube directly onto my Mac where I then brought the sample into Fission to finish chopping and trimming the sample. After that I brought the beat in to the akai mpc software and got to work. This was a fairly simple and easy beat to structure. Nothing too complicated here, the beat is not fully mixed and tracked out. This is just something to give to you guys cool and hopefully enjoyable content.
