Trackmaster Thomas and the Jet engine 2016 Unboxing review and first run.
Hi Guys and Gals here we have the fairly new, well new to Australian stores Trackmaster Thomas and the Jet engine!
I'm not sure of the reasoning for releasing these engines again in the revolution line be it for new episodes that will air with the themes or that they felt they would be a worthy addition to the trackmaster 2 lineup we will never know hehe.
In the original episode Thomas is sad because he is not fast like Gordon until one day he is tasked with delivery of a jet engine that activates by accident and propels Thomas down the line at super speed!
This Trackmaster version looks good enough on it's own but when put next to the TOMY Jet engine you can see the level of detail and craftsmanship differences. I understand the need for compact light rolling stock that can be used to climb the crazy hills and mega jumps etc so it's all fair enough. I personally use them to pull trains, shock horror! and I modify them as such with more weight and sometimes swap the wheels etc.
This loco is a good looking unique design and I like the removable hat while being a bit of a tacky gimmick I think it looks good and quite cute.
I give this Thomas and the jet engine a score of 8.5/10.
The jet engine was packed in the wrong order in the packet and would burn the truck of crates! No but seriously I don't have allot to complain about here, I kinda really do like it
