Carrie Grant MBE hosts a conversation with Luke Seraphin (Head of Diversity & Inclusion for Sky Content and Sky Studios) & Nadia Dillion (Head at Holmewood School - a school for autistic students in North London) looking at the intersectionalities that some autistic people have with race, gender, sexuality and other neurodivergent conditions.
The term 'intersectionality' was coined by Kimberly Crenshaw back in 1989, who talked about the intersection of being female and black as being like standing in the middle of a crossroads where being a black person was one thing, you get run over one way and then going the other way you get knocked down because you're a woman.
In this episode Luke, Nadia and Carrie discuss the impact of different intersections and how this can impact their life and work.
