Ducklings Eating Peas! (and backyard adversities)
Ducklings eating peas! Keeping a small flock of backyard ducks is a time consuming labor of love. Ducks are fun and entertaining, but they also require a lot of attention. This Spring, Miss Luci hatched four ducklings. Odessa sat on a clutch of eggs, but they did not hatch. Oliver, our only boy, is the father of all the babies. Unfortunately, being the father did not keep him from being aggressive with the ducklings and all the Ducks had to be separated (the yard is subdivided with fencing). Everyone has plenty of room to run, and no one is fenced off alone. Also, they can all gather at the fencing to talk and nap.
