Massive snowfall hit us in on the Avalon in Newfoundland. 96cm recorded in the area I live, Mount Pearl. State Of Emergency was declared for 7 days in St. John's, but in Mount Pearl is was lifted during the day after about 3 days of being house bound.
It was nice though, spent lots of time with the family, and we were well prepared, and Mount Pearl handled the snow clearing exceptionally well. I felt bad for the people who didn't see this coming, or weren't able to shovel themselves out, but everyone came together and helped each other out and as of today the State Of Emergence has been completely lifted.
It was hard to get the shots I wanted because of the blowing snow, but I feel like I'll enjoy looking back at this video in the years to come to remember the snow storm that shut down St. John's and surrounding areas. It's the first time I've seen a State Of Emergency in my life time, and hopefully it'll be the last.
