In this video we show a demo of Virtual drums, a project made by Pietro Fara and Paolo Mededdu from the RETIS Lab of the Scuola Superiore S. Anna (http://retis.sssup.it/) using the FLEX Mini boards (http://www.evidence.eu.com/flex-daugh...) and ERIKA Enterprise (http://erika.tuxfamily.org). The idea is to use the built-in 3 axis accelerometer to understand the hand movement and then play virtual drums according to the gestures. Then the microchip pic24 in the board handles the sampling and the wireless communication using a Microchip Zigbee transceiver.
