Dave Barry, an American author and columnist, contributed a widely distributed humor column to the Miami Herald from 1983 to 2005. He is also the creative mind behind several books, including works of humor, parody, comic novels, and children's novels. During one of the 2023 panels at the SVWC, Dave Barry sheds light on many political and socio-economic issues, as well as biased opinions that people may have.
