ARMA 3 Operation Phalanx Stage One
It has been almost four months since Task Force Basilisk, and the 48th Mechanized Infantry liberated Altis from the AAF and CSAT occupation. In this time the conflict has escalated, and World War Three may very well be upon us. So far both CSAT and NATO have expressed unwillingness to use Nuclear weapons, however both sides are developing new weapons of varying power to be used in the war. CSAT’s new Weapon Codename: Project Decimator first made its appearance in Operation: Reaper on Altis. Since then it has gone through various refinements over the past months, and has proven to be a continual thorn in the side of NATO. Due to the inability of Task Force Basilisk in Operation: Reaper to secure any functioning Project Decimator weapons. NATO has been unable to replicate the weapon for its own use, while CSAT continues to strike at NATO installations with these advanced weapons.
Further information on the other projects that make up Project: Overmind is scarce, and we have heard nothing about Projects: Epiphany, Red Dragon or Snowstorm. We can only guess that CSAT is continuing their research into these projects in absolute secret. It is only a matter of time however before these projects are revealed.
Over the past few months CSAT have managed to capture the small nation of Sahrani, while Nato attempts to push into the heart of CSAT controlled territory of Takistan, which has been met with stiff resistance. In the last two weeks CSAT has begun pushing aggressively for the small region of Chernarus. NATO defenders, along the outskirts of Chernarus, have been slowly but steadily pushed back, under the onslaught of the CSAT Task Force Griffin. It is estimated that Chernarus will fall shortly unless something is done to halt the CSAT offensive in its tracks. As such Task Force Basilisk, including the 48th Mechanized Infantry has been deployed to Chernarus in order to reinforce the beleaguered NATO defenders.
