Let's hear from the venues - Chimpanzee Conservation Center | Wild Animal Unique Personality Award
Since 2008, the CCC has rescued, rehabilitated, and reintroduced around 20 chimpanzees back into the wild, leading to 7 natural births.
Rescued chimps learn survival skills from each other before being released into the forest. With poaching still a major threat, CCC partners with local authorities to enforce anti-poaching laws and with communities to create sustainable alternatives.
If Marco from CCC wins WAUPA 2024, the sanctuary will expand its capacity and enhance care and protection efforts, ensuring more chimps can thrive in their natural habitat.
