Ramsar Wetlands - Barberspan North West Province
LensTracks produced all the videos for the SA Ramsar project between 2014 and 2017. The videos were published on the SA Ramsar YouTube channel, but are now also made available on the LensTracks YouTube channel.
Barberspan is the only Ramsar wetland in the North West Province of South Africa. It offers one of the best inland sites to watch waterbirds. With an infrastructure for bird ringing and more than 400 bird species recorded here, it attracts bird scientists from all over the world. Fresh water fishing is very popular at Barberspan and attracts fishing competitions from all over South Africa.
