we have positive and double negative in language. Most people think that clinging, and aversion, are two separate things. That's because of our dualistic pathological thinking that is an enlightened. In truth, is just clinging to not wanting to encounter things we don't like and clinging is wanting to encounter things we like. So they are both forms of clinging. It's just one is the positive form of clinging and the other is the negative form of clinging. They are both forms of clinging and therefore a root cause of suffering and afflictive emotion. this is something that is hard to find explained in the Buddhist teachings, but which I find is a more correct and nondualist view of the matter
