Understanding How an Aircraft's Speed is Measured with The Pitot Static System!
In this video we look at how the aircraft's speed is measured with the help of a pitot static system and the corrections that are applied on the Indicated Airspeed.
The video includes a description of the Dynamic Pressure; Static Pressure and Total Pressure and the equation for Dynamic Pressure.
Then we look at the Pitot Static System which includes the Pitot Tube and the Static Port to measure the Total Pressure and Static Pressure. This enables us to understand how the Dynamic Pressure is obtained.
I have also included a description on airspeeds and the corrections that need to be applied to get the True Air Speed.
