In this episode of “Street Talk,” JJ Anderson meets with Yesenia Ramirez, a Glendale, California native and talented female skateboarder. Although she has two older brothers, Ramirez realized her love for the sport outside her family, when one day she walked up to a group of skaters and asked if she could give it a shot. With hours of skating behind her, the young athlete was now a regular at Carr Park. Through hours of practice, a sudden tragedy, and a school coming together to pay off the costs for an MRI, Ramirez has withstood the many heartbreaks skaters face, but has managed to persevere through it all with extraordinary strength.
